What is the Euro-India ICT Co-operation initiative? |

The
Euro-India ICT Co-operation helps bridge the gap between research and
exploitation by showcasing complementary activities between Europeans
& Indians, engage in ICT discussions & find potential partners
for commercial or research collaborations namely future Information
Society Technologies (IST) Calls.

EU Call 6 Deadline 25th April 2006
Framework Programme Call 6 has
been published 22nd December 2005 is scheduled to close 25th April
2006. You can downlaod the full Call Information from or go to the Cordis FP6 Information Page for more information. Also available is the Full WorkProgramme (fourth update) which includes a description of the International Cooperation Strategic Objective (2.6.5)and
an insight to the Accompany Measure (2.6.4) whose objective is to
stimulate, encourage and facilitate the participation in current and
future Community ICT research of organisations of all types, with a
special focus on newcomers and SMEs, including organisations from New
Member States (NMS),Associated Candidate Countries (ACC) and INCO

INCITE
The
INCITE (Indian Networks Co-operation in Information Society Technology
with Europe) project, which started in June 2005, complements the
Euro-India ICT Co-operation Initiative and will focus on preparatory
activities for the establishment of a National Contact Point in India,
a mapping of Indian ICT communities and strengths, as well as nine
training events for Indian research organisations on IST proposal
writing.
